Late Minecraft player, Technoblade, still has a highly dedicated fanbase. Many pay tribute to the late Minecraft legend by using the quote, “Technoblade never dies.” This phrase has now been used on the gamer’s merchandise, although fans were worried that the Technoblade Timer was all a prank.

Technoblade kept his true identity anonymous right until his death. Up to then, he was known by his online avatar picture which was a crowned pig.

After disclosing his cancer diagnosis in August 2021, Technoblade’s fans have been extremely supportive. However, even after his passing, fans still think he’s playing pranks on them…

IS THE TECHNOBLADE TIMER A NATIONAL OPPOSITE DAY PRANK?
No, the Technoblade Timer is not a National Opposite Day prank, it is a new merchandise drop. The “Technoblade Never Dies” collection has now been released on their official online store.

Before the collection was released there was a timer counting down until the drop. Unaware that new merch was being released, gamers took to TikTok to debate what would happen when the timer ended. One of the most popular theories came from a TikTok user with the handle @flekting. They suggested that because the Technoblade Timer stops on National Opposite Day, January 25, it could all be a prank.

However, now that the timer has gone off we can reveal that it is not a prank. It was to promote the release of new limited-edition merchandise. Some avid fans of Technoblade were able to get early access to the merchandise by typing “respawn” into the enter-by-password part of the timer.
